Garden Cottage is near the Cable Crossing Road, along Seawall Road. Also, this house is close to Seawall Beach and Seawall Picnic area and the Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Such a wonderful location and perfect for a family visit to Mount Desert Island. This restored Cape features beautiful garden's gifts (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, peaches, carrots, basil, and so much more) as bounty for your own meals. Her generous kitchen table has room for up to 10 people to share the glorious bounty. The "Studio" can be used for exercising, playing ping pong and as an additional sleeping area for two guests (there is a sleeper sofa in the Studio). The Garden Cottage shares its beauty with the earth and brings the best of life back to you. Rejuvenate in the Studio with yoga rings and mats, the rowing machine, weights and even its ballet bar. There is a stereo with a CD player in that room, too. Back inside the main house,children may partake of quality toys such as a BRIO set, jump ropes and more. The piano player in you will be in luck here. While you're on vacation; hang out your laundry in the fresh Maine air!

Layout:1st Floor: enter from the back stone patio into a mudroom that houses the washer and dryer, a sink, and a bathroom with a shower. In to the bright kitchen, dining area with a large table, living room with a piano and a woodstove in the fireplace; TV room; bathroom, and bedroom with a queen.

2nd Floor: two bedrooms, one with twins, one with a 3/4 bed with a trundle bed underneath - both are open rooms (no doors). Outside is the studio.
