Located just miles from the heart of Bar Harbor along the northern corridor of Route 3, Heathwood Inn is two houses attached for maximum occupancy of 16 people. The Heathwood was an Inn in the recent past and, therefore, her varied styles lend themselves well to the property's enduring charm. Built to house up to 10 in the main portion and another 4 - 6 in the comfortable and newly-renovated cottage next door, everyone gets a place to rest and relax while finding the common places to enjoy meals, tea, stories and more. On the mail floor of Heathwood Inn is a cheerful porch and the entry into the parlor area where a fireplace and mantel greet guests and beckon to sit. On this floor is the Eden Room with a king sized bed and an enormous tub in that private en-suite bathroom. Also on this first floor is the Gorham Room which has a queen bed, a sauna, and a private bathroom. Upstairs is the Acadia Room, a queen bedroom with a private bathroom; and the large Master room which sports a four poster king size bed, a wood fireplace (for paper logs), and a private bathroom. The third bedroom on the second floor is Hunters Brook, a queen bedroom with private bathroom.

In between the two houses is a separate laundry building with an extra refrigerator and extra linens. In the "Barn," the relaxed guest house, find the common kitchen which is ideal for cooking for the entire crowd when you eat in. A small dining area and sitting place is located here on this first floor. Also, a newly created bedroom with a queen and a bathroom are tucked under the wooden staircase that leads to the second floor. Upstairs is an enormous open room with a bed, closets and a bathroom.

All the Heathwood main house baths feature steam showers and there is air conditioning available in all of these 5 bedrooms.
