Is there a designated check-in and check-out time?
Yes. Arrival time is 4pm and departure time is 10am. Late arrivals are easily accommodated; please call during business hours to make arrangements.
Will I have Internet access and cable/satellite television?
Most vacation rentals are furnished with cable television, DVD players, and multiple TV sets, and many are equipped with free high-speed, and sometimes, wireless Internet access. Be sure to ask about specific requirements when selecting a home.
May I smoke in my cottage?
Smoking is not allowed inside rental properties.
May I bring my pets?
Pets are allowed only by special permission from the owner, and only if agreed to as per the terms of the lease. There are boarding facilities on Mount Desert Island if you cannot leave your pet(s) at home. Pets must be treated with flea & tick prevention. Please clean up after your pet!
Where may I have packages shipped?
If you are interested in receiving mail or packages during your stay please arrange for general delivery with a local village post office. Arrange for FedEx or UPS at your own discretion. Our office is unable to accept packages.

What kind of cleaning services are available?
Our cottages are cleaned before and after every guest's stay. While there is no housekeeping during your stay, optional interim cleaning service can be arranged at your expense with advance notice.
Where should I stay?
Mount Desert Island is home to Acadia National Park, and the towns of Bar Harbor, Mount Desert, Southwest Harbor and Tremont.
Bar Harbor includes the villages of Hulls Cove, Salisbury Cove and Town Hill.
Mount Desert includes the villages of Hall Quarry, Northeast Harbor, Otter Creek, Pretty Marsh, Seal Harbor and Somesville.
Southwest Harbor includes the villages of Manset and Seawall.
Tremont includes the villages of Bass Harbor, Bernard and Seal Cove.
Trenton is just at the head of the Island.
Acadia National Park is spread out all over the Island and can be accessed from many different points.
