Description

Located just one mile from downtown Bar Harbor, overlooking Frenchman's Bay and the Porcupine Islands, Sol's Cliff is a stately 12 bedroom Summer Cottage that survived the Fire of '47. Built in 1914, overlooking the ocean, it has twelve wooded acres on one side and steep cliffs on the other.

FIRST LEVEL: Brick entry foyer with fireplace, brick terrace with ocean views. Formal living room with fireplace and French doors to the terrace and outside, dining room with a fireplace and seating for 22, French doors leading to an outside dining area and terrace, library with fireplace, Butler's pantry, kitchen with dining area for 9, sitting/playroom, laundry room, and a half bath.

SECOND LEVEL: Master bedroom suite with king bed, fireplace, walk in closet and private full bath. A porch with water views adjoins the master suite. Bedroom with queen bed that shares full bath with double bedroom. Bedroom with double bed, fireplace, shares full bath with claw foot tub w/ bedroom with two twin beds. Bedroom with queen bed and private full bath, also with doorway to servants wing hallway. Second master bedroom suite with king bed, adjacent full bath and step down to nursery with 2 cribs in a separate room. Many of the rooms on this floor have water views and doors leading to adjacent rooms. Four more bedrooms with single beds and shared bath with tub in former servants wing. Two roll away beds for extra people. Detached game house for badminton, wall tennis, basketball. Check in- 4 PM, Check out- 9:30 AM There is no beach or water access.

Information about your Quoted Price:
Included in your quote is the rental rate, the state lodging tax and our processing fee, A Refundable $1000 Security Deposit is also added to your lease.
Security deposits are held by our company and any expenses incurred during your stay that are over and above what is included in your lease, will be deducted from the deposit. After inspection of the property and collection of any additional bills from the owner, remaining monies will be refunded to you no longer than 30 days after your departure date. Please allow sufficient time for mailing. Please report any damages to rental agent prior to departure to expedite this process.

Special note on Security returns: We have experienced slower mailing times in the past year through the US Postal Service. If you have not received your deposit within 30 days please contact our office. However, due to the mail system, we ask that you please allow the specified amount of time for mailing prior to calling our office as this only slows down our processing of requests. **Your agent will contact you within 10 days of departure if there are any issues with your security deposit that need to be addressed.
